As the universe in a home for energies that do have different wavelengths and frequencies. The color emitted by any substance is an outcome of the wavelength associated with its inherent energy. It leads us to the conclusion that if energy is related to the Vastu Shastra, thus color also plays a vital role in determining the energy sustained in a structure.

Now, colors fall in every sight and every range of our eyes, so they do have a dominant effect on us. Every color has its significance that we need to address to create a positive energy field in our home.
Vastu Colour
Now let’s study the nature of some of the widely used colors:

Yellow:

Its usage can perceive the significance of this color in religious duties. It represents intellect, wealth, prosperity, patience, education, mind, concentration, optimism, etc. Yellow is predominant in the atmosphere at noon i.e., when the sun is nearest to the horizon. It is suggested to be used in smaller rooms of houses. It reduces temper and is an excellent choice for people with mental issues.

Orange:

Orange is highly recommended for career beginners as it makes you feel more energetic and passionate, thus providing a driving force to move ahead. It represents career, warmth, goals, pride position, energy, comfort, satisfaction, etc. Try using it when feeling low or depressed.

Red:

A color that represents bravery. It has the longest wavelength in the seven-color spectrum. It represents lust, bravery, vigor, power, passion, dominance, jealousy, warmth, aggression, etc. It’s an active color that denotes vibrancy. It stimulates our senses as we see it. It creates an excitement that is why it was chosen as a wedding color. It should be used in nodes where we need a warm and energetic environment. Too much red color can enhance depression and anxiety.

Blue:

For many, blue suggests eternity. It is very commonly evident to our eyes in the vast stretches of sky and water. It is a color related to healing and pain reduction. It symbolizes dreams, inspiration, beauty, eternity, truth, belief, emotions, satisfaction, and life. Blue is suggested to be used where we do have a vast stretch of wall i.e., in a big area. Lighter shades of blue are preferable to be used for homes. A lot of blue colors is not recommended as it can lead to some medical ailments like a cough.

Purple:

The color of peacock carries a sense of pride with it. It represents pride, riches, jealousy, luxury, poise, and grace. It creates a sense of pride and reduces the inferiority complex.

Violet:

It symbolizes spirituality, cleverness, occult, memory, concentration, and peace of mind. It helps in generating confidence in one’s decisions. Using violet in more amounts can lead to self-content that can stop your driving force to excel in life.

Green:

It represents nature. It’s one of the two colors that are predominant in our globe. It is associated with growth, birth, creation, calmness, fertility, prosperity, positivity, rejuvenation, etc. It is used in medical centers, thus symbolizing its positive and healing nature. It aids in reducing the anger or temper of a person. Lighter shades are often preferred.

Brown:

It is the color related to the earth element of nature. It represents growth, birth, stability, robustness, contentment, etc. It is suggested to be used to feel satisfied. Usage in a lower amount in a house is recommended.

White:

The symbol of peace. It signifies purity, simplicity, transparency, optimism, condolence, cleanliness, etc. It gives a soothing effect in times of trouble. It should be used in small amounts in the house as it develops ego when perceived for more extended periods.
These are a few fundamentals that start our journey in the color science of Vastu. Shades and intensity of colors also trigger different effects on us. Thus, making it a complex science to choose colors at home or our office place as Vastu deals with a summation of energies, so colors along with external directional energies flowing in structures, have to be studied simultaneously. It means colors to be used are direction specific for, e.g., the best color to be used in the north direction is green. On that, we will talk in our next blogs to come. There is no point worrying if for some practical reasons color fixations or a Vastu space can’t help much in correcting the energy summations.
